Living as Christian : Courage to be a Christian

Ephesians 2:1-10 A time to turn possibilities into reality; eternal life... salvation... forgiveness... grace... It all becomes real. Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection bring everything into reality. Through Jesus’ huge love and what he did, we are recipients of incredible benefits. So now we are free. We need to consider how to make the connection between what Jesus’ said and what we actually do. How does Jesus’ love and sacrifice relate to your lives? How does Christ’s resurrection impact and transform your lives? How does this love form your personality? Finally, His courage brings change, from life to death, from the possibility to actuality. Without Jesus’ courage ‘to be’, the possibility of salvation, forgiveness, peace, and hope might still remain as remain a possibility. Then, now it is our turn to answer the question: how have we cultivated the relationship? Christ perfectly demonstrated the fruit of courage and encourages us to practice it in our relationships. When we have a cross to bear — let us leap towards God. Let us rest toward God. The purpose of his resurrection is to liberate us from sin and restore us to live Christian. How have we responded to these purposes? We know the way: have the courage Jesus showed. Live with that courage by loving and encouraging one another. This Easter is a very special time and it is about Jesus’ resurrection, we have a responsibility. We have to answer the question: how have we taken up the cross daily and followed Jesus Christ? Remember to check your prayer partner on the “Prayer Partners” page and pray for them throughout the week! Book of the Month : Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
